Programming is a pretty cool skill. If you know how to program and code, you can make all sorts of things, from little apps on phones and tablets, all the way up to the biggest games on console. If you want to get involved, and you live in or near Essex, then Essex is Epik is the place for you this weekend.
On Saturday 3rd May at St. Luke’s Church and St. Cedd’s Church you can get involved in workshops that cover all kinds of cool technology, from Minecraft to creating things for the web in Mozilla Webmaker.
It’s not just for the weekend, either! From Thursday 8th May Essex is Epik will run every week as a Youth Club, meaning there’s lots of opportunities to learn some amazing tech know-how.
There’s more, too! Southend on Sea Linux User Group and TAP gallery are also helping out, and from the end of May every second Saturday they will host an Essex is Epik day, too. So many chances to learn some really cool coding skills this summer.
If you’re interested and want to get involved with Essex is Epik, send an email to Sarah at [email protected] and she’ll be able to book you a place at the event.
