The Doctor and the Dalek is a new game coming to the CBBC website, that teams the Doctor up with one of his arch enemies to help defeat evil. But how will the Doctor succeed? Using computer science! In The Doctor and the Dalek, the twelfth Doctor rescues a Dalek prisoner from the Cybermen and discovers that he makes an unlikely ally. By solving puzzles, the Doctor can reprogramme the Dalek’s systems to make it help out in defeating both the Cybermen and the Sontarans. As the Doctor reprogrammes the Dalek, new systems will come online that makes this deadly soldier even more powerful. Hopefully it will stay on the Doctor’s side!
Each of the puzzles have real-life coding in them, which means playing The Doctor and the Dalek can help you learn the skills you need to be a computer programmer. So if you ever fancy being a games designer in the future, playing The Dalek and the Doctor will help you get started building those skills!
And even if you’re not interested in computer science, The Doctor and the Dalek is a cool Doctor Who game. You’ll finally be able to go to the Sontaran home planet and see the Clone Chambers, as well as visit the Cyber-tombs on Telos!
