Remember when LEGO Minifigures Online was announced we said there would be a beta? Well you can now sign yourself up for it so you’ll be first in line when the gates open to the biggest LEGO game ever made!
A beta is something really exciting. It’s a time when you get to play the game before it’s even out, and you won’t even have to pay! You see when people are making games, they get to a point where they think they are really happy with it, but need lots and lots of people to play the game to make sure nothing breaks. This is where you come in: you can help developer FunCom test LEGO Minifigures Online to make sure everything works! Betas normally last for two weeks or so and happen a while before the actual release date of the game. So with a beta you can try out the game before you buy it, and make sure you really like it. It’s a bit like a demo, but everything you do in a beta helps a developer make the game even better before the real release day.
If you want to sign up to play the LEGO Minifigures Online beta, you need to run over to the Beta Sign-up website and enter your details like name, date of birth and email address. When the beta is ready to play, FunCom will email you and let you know you can download the game. Not everyone that signs up will be invited to play in the beta, but betas normally include thousands of players, so you’ve got a very good chance of being able to play! Remember, LEGO Minifigures Online is a PC game, so you’ll need a computer to play it on.
