If you want to take Minecraft to the next level, one of the best ways to do it is to read Mojang’s amazing new handbooks. They tell you everything you need to know about the game, and may even reveal a few secrets too. They’re written by real Minecraft experts too, like FyreUK and other guys you’ve seen on YouTube. Andy from Family Gamer TV has been having a look. In this video, he flicks through the Combat Handbook.

The Combat Handbook contains everything you need to know about fighting in Minecraft, from keeping spiders and creepers at bay, to making new weapons, and blowing everything up with TNT! It’s a really useful guide because everything is in one book, full of great pictures, and kept tidily together. This means you won’t have to search for hours on the internet to find what you need to know about Minecraft’s combat; just open the book to the right chapter and there is the information you need!

It’s also a really great way of adding structure to Minecraft. Because there are no levels or missions, sometimes it’s difficult to know what to do in the game. With this book, you can choose a project to do, and build it with help from the instructions.

If you love these books, then good news: Family Gamer TV are going to give some away! If you leave a comment on the YouTube video you could be chosen as a winner. Check out the Construction Handbook, too!

The Minecraft Combat Handbook release date is April 2014, so look out for them in shops soon!
