Good news, travelling Minecraft fans, the Pocket Edition on phones and tablets has been upgraded to version 0.8.0. This means there’s plenty of cool stuff to see and do, and it all looks much prettier thanks to some better graphics.
The big new thing is that you can now put down powered rails, meaning you can make train tracks in your world with minecarts on them that will go forwards and backwards.
There’s plenty of new blocks, including carpet, iron bars, and new types of wood. You can also grow vegetables like carrots and beetroot to help you eat well (remember to eat those greens!) and also craft a compass to help to figure out which way you are looking when walking through the massive world.
Minecraft Pocket Edition will update to 0.8.0 automatically when you update all your apps, just check for updates using the App Store on your phone or tablet.
