This November, Sonic blasts back onto Nintendo with a boom. Two new Sonic games will be coming at us, one on Wii U and one on 3DS. They’re two different games instead of the same game on two consoles; for Wii U it’s Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric, and for 3DS it’s Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal. But what do they hold in store? Take a look at these trailers to find out.
Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric sees a great, ancient evil (yes, even older than Dr. Robotnik!) awake and chase down Sonic and his friends. Just why does the evil Lyric want to fight Sonic? You’ll just have to play to find out!
Meanwhile in Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal on Nintendo 3DS, a new character is joining team Sonic: Sticks! She’s brand new to the Sonic series, and looks to be a squirrel-like animal armed with a handy boomerang. The trailer for Shattered Crystal gives less away about the story, but the game looks pretty great from the gameplay footage.
Not only will Sonic Boom include these two games, but also toys and a TV show.
The Sonic Boom release date is this November on 3DS and Wii U.
