Sonic just wants a fun life, but when evil villains like Dr. Robotnik turn up and start causing chaos, he’s not afraid to jump into action alongside his buddies Tails, Knuckles, and Amy. That’s exactly what they’ll be doing this year in Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric on Wii U. Check out the latest trailer where we get a good look at the story and some of the cool levels we’ll be zooming around in.

It looks like the team have lots of good banter, so the story will be both exciting and funny. It also appears that the developer Big Red Button has got all the Sonic elements in the game, with each character having unique abilities so they don’t all feel the same. And of course there’s plenty of gold rings to be collecting on the way!

Sonic Boom is made up of two games: Rise of Lyric on the Wii U and Shattered Crystal on 3DS. They’re two different games with different stories and levels, so play them both to get the whole Sonic Boom experience! The release date for both games is November 21st.
