The LEGO Story is the true tale of Kirk Christiansen family, who started making toys in Denmark in the 1930’s. The film shows how Ole Kirk Christiansen and his son, Godtfred, changed the family business from wooden toy makers to a big company making plastic brick construction sets. It’s a more interesting story than you might think, with dangers like house fires, and toys that no one wanted to buy at first.

The LEGO company is now owned by Kjeld Kirk Christiansen, the grandson of Ole and son of Godtfred. It looks like LEGO must be one of the most successful family businesses in the world!
