Nintendo has announced a HD remake of Wii Sports, the game that was included with the original Wii console, and featured sports like tennis and bowling. The popular game will be released as a download on Wii U from November.
The games for Wii Sports Club will be released one at a time, starting with tennis and bowling on November 7th. Boxing, baseball and golf will be released in the following months.
Rather than being released as a whole game, Wii Sports Club will offer a new way to play. First you’ll download Wii Sports Club, which will allow you to join a local club based on where you live, and then play any of the sports for free for 24 hours. After that you’ll have to pay. You can either pay a small fee and get a ticket that lets you play for 24 hours, or you can pay £8.99 and keep a sport forever.
The games have all been spruced up with HD visuals and now support Wii MotionPlus for more sensitive controls. There’s also an online mode now, so you’ll be able to compete with players from all over the world, not just your own house.
